Lalibela Game Lodge Port Elizabeth We recommend a minimum of a 2 night stay to get the most out of what Lalibela has to offer. Arrival time at the reserve is between 14h00 and 14h30 in summer and 13h00 and 13h30 in winter. Upon your arrival, you are met by your ranger at reception and transferred to the lodge in an open game viewing vehicle. There is time to settle in before afternoon tea, after which we head out for an evening safari. Lalibela is home to a multitude of game species ranging from the mighty elephant, rhino and buffalo to tiny blue duiker and rock hyrax. Sundowners are served in the African bushveld, and we return to the lodge after nightfall for a safari cuisine dinner. Awaken to the sound of the birds and enjoy a light breakfast before heading off on a n early morning game drive, which will bring you face to face with the wildlife that roam in profusion and diversity. We return to the lodge for a sumptuous brunch. The time between brunch and afternoon tea can be taken relaxing around the pool, having a drink or perhaps joining your ranger on a guided bush walk. Check out time is at 11h00 on your day of departure. MARK'S CAMP The stone and thatch chalets and main lodge of Mark's Camp are decorated in a Pan-African style. This exclusive lodge sleeps 8 people in four individual chalets. Each comfortably furnished chalet has an en-suite bathroom and there is a ceiling fan for those warm summer nights. The chalets open up onto a private deck with views over the waterhole. Between game drives, guests can relax in the large lounge, bird watch from the viewing decks or laze around the swimming pool. Mark's Camp has an outdoor dining 'boma' for fireside dinners and open-air brunches, as well as a gracious indoor dining area. Mark's Camp can be booked as a unit, making it particularly suitable for groups with young children. LENTABA LODGE The main lodge, decorated in traditional safari style, boasts a large lounge, viewing deck and a sunny swimming pool where you can spend a lazy afternoon. Lentaba, the "lodge on the hillside", sleeps 16 people in eight secluded thatched chalets, placed where magnificent indigenous gardens merge into the surrounding bush. Each en-suite unit has a private observation deck to make the most of the views over the valley bushveld. Each chalet also has a ceiling fan. The outdoor dining 'boma' has a commanding view of a waterhole, which is spotlit after dark for night game viewing. Brunch is served al fresco on the main viewing deck. BOOKING FORM |
